There is a diverse range of muscles that have been coined core muscles. According to the PMA core muscles include:

  • Deep abdominals (obliques, transverse abdominis)
  • Multifidus
  • Gluteus maximus
  • Pelvic floor
  • The top of the “Core” is the diaphragm
