Many people have heard the term “Sitting is the new smoking”.  This term refers to the health hazards related to sitting for extended periods of time.  It is ideal to get up and out of your chair every 45 minutes, at least, to decrease the strain placed on your body from sitting for prolonged periods of time.  If you are unable to get out of your chair frequently, ideally you should perform this series of recommended exercises every 45 minutes to improve your posture and decrease the stress and compression on your spine.  By performing the simple exercises shown in the video below, you can improve your posture and flexibility to help you feel better at the end of the day.

We also recommend that at the end of the day to perform a more thorough stretch routine.  You can consider using a foam roller or various stretches with longer hold times to improve posture and alignment.
