Specialized workshop
Pilates for Gait Workshop
Proper gait is essential for efficient movement and functional independence. Learn to analyze walking patterns, identify dysfunctions, and apply targeted Pilates exercises that improve alignment, strength, balance, and coordination.
Why it matters
Walking is the movement everything else rests on.
Efficient gait is what functional independence is built from. Altered walking patterns bring discomfort, fatigue, and a higher risk of falls — most sharply in older clients, who are also the least able to absorb one.
This workshop is the analysis and the correction together: how to read a gait cycle, work out what is driving the deviation, and choose the Pilates work that changes it. Strength, balance, and coordination applied to the pattern actually in front of you, so a client's mobility and their confidence in it improve at the same time.
