Multi-module course
Neuromuscular Connections
How the brain, spinal cord, and muscles connect, and what happens to movement when neurological conditions disrupt it. One of the most comprehensive rehab courses taught at Synergy+, blending clinical insight with practical Pilates application.
Course structure
Three modules, each on-demand.
Comprehensive lessons combining theory, practical demonstrations, case studies, and Q&A sessions. Written and practical assessments confirm mastery of each module's content.
Neuroanatomy & Related Conditions
The central nervous system: the brain and spinal cord
The parts of the brain and spinal cord, what each one does, and how they act on each other to produce movement. This is the ground the rest of the course stands on — how movement is produced, and what goes wrong when one part of the system stops doing its job.
Conditions covered
- Strokes
- Parkinson's disease
- Cerebral palsy
- Ataxia
- MS
- Huntington's disease
Module 1 preview
Neural Pathways
The peripheral nervous system, and dysfunctions of the nerves and motor neuron
How nerves and neurons form a single circuit carrying information from one part of the body to another — and what a break anywhere along it does to movement.
Conditions covered
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
- Peripheral nerve & spinal cord dysfunctions
- B12 deficiency
- Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease
Module 2 preview
Muscular System
Muscle function, and virally-induced neurological dysfunctions
How muscle works in detail: where the signal to contract comes from, and what happens when something interrupts it on the way.
Conditions covered
- Myasthenia gravis
- Muscular dystrophy
- Guillain-Barré syndrome
- Lyme disease
- Poliomyelitis

From instructors
“Zeina's Neuromuscular Connections course completely transformed the way I teach. I had studied anatomy before, but it never clicked the way it did in her classes. Every session connected directly to what I do in the studio — my teaching feels more precise, and my clients are progressing faster.”
Laura M., Certified Pilates Instructor
“This course was a game-changer for me. Zeina breaks down anatomy and biomechanics in such an engaging, easy-to-understand way. I now see movement through a completely new lens and can instantly recognize what's limiting a client's motion.”
