Your instructor

A movement specialist, not just a lecturer.

Hello, I'm Zeina Grifoni, Master of Physical Therapy and a nationally certified Pilates instructor. I like to consider myself a movement specialist. My strength is evaluating a situation and correcting faulty patterns to restore movement, decrease pain, and restore function. I feel honored to be able to help others through my work, and I'm passionate about reaching a greater population of people who need it.

How it started

Built by four instructors who wouldn't stop asking questions.

Although Lectures on Pilates is a new membership, this program goes back a few years. It started with four Pilates instructors, students of mine who'd taken my full Pilates for Rehab course. They loved the course, but mostly they loved how I taught. So instead of just packing up and going home at the end of it, they asked if I'd consider working with them further. They were hungry for knowledge, and they'd realized there was so much more to know. These four instructors, who've now also become my dear friends, are still taking my classes every week.

Always growing

What we've been covering.

Each week, the group discusses and shares the best Pilates practices, case studies, methods, and ideas, working through difficult and interesting themes in depth. This content is constantly growing and developing based on new research, expert input on special cases, and Zeina's own love of learning. Here's a look at two recent runs.

  • Chronic PainHow pain is perceived, how it becomes chronic, and how Pilates instructors can successfully work with clients who suffer from it.
  • Neurological ConnectionsHow movement happens, where it starts in the body, what can go wrong, and what instructors can do to help.

Why this program exists

The most value for every minute you have.

We're fortunate to spend an hour a week, maybe two, with our clients. But that's still not a lot of time to help them change their bodies and how they move through everyday life. This program exists to help you get the most value out of every one of those minutes, so you can become the most effective teacher possible: keeping your clients healthy, happy, and safe.

Movement is life, and together we can help our clients improve theirs.
