Local storage (always on)

This site uses your browser's local storage — not cookies in the traditional sense, and nothing that's sent back to our servers or any third party. Specifically:

• Language & studio preference (synergy:locale, synergy:market) — remembers which language you're reading in and which studio (Ascona or San Rafael) is most relevant to you, based on your browser's timezone and language settings. This is set once you land on the site and stays on your device only.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

The first time you visit, a banner asks whether we can use analytics. If you click Accept, this site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which pages get visited and how — general trends, not you individually. That sets a couple of Google cookies (_ga, _ga_*). If you click Reject, or don't make a choice, none of this happens and no analytics cookie is set. Your choice is remembered in local storage (synergy:consent) so you're not asked again. We don't use advertising cookies, retargeting, or any other third-party tracking beyond Google Analytics.

Third-party requests

There are none while you are simply reading. Every asset this site needs — including its typefaces, which used to come from Google Fonts — is served from our own domain, so your browser contacts no other company and no third party sees your IP address. The only external request this site ever makes is Google Analytics, and only after you have accepted it.

How to control this

You can change your analytics choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser (usually under "Privacy" or "Site Data") — the consent banner will ask again on your next visit — or by blocking cookies directly in your browser's privacy settings. Clearing local storage just means we'll re-detect your likely language and region (and re-ask about analytics) on your next visit; it won't break anything.
